Results are in from the regulatory testing I wrote about last week, and unfortunately we didn't get the passing score that we expected.
I know this is super frustrating. We all feel it.
I regret to say it, but this means that the June ship date for the Alarm Panel Pro is no longer realistic.
The good news is that we are only off from the FCC limits by 4 decibels at one frequency! It's literally so close!
Additionally, we already have an alternate design waiting in the wings, and we're building and pre-qualifying it now. This next iteration should turn around much faster than the last one.
I'll update again with more details when we have some more data.
If you've pre-ordered the Alarm Panel Pro
First of all, thank you! You're awesome. Without your confidence in the form of pre-orders, we wouldn't be able to do this.
I understand that these delays are excessive, and you didn't sign up for this long of a wait. We have three options for you if you want to make changes to your pre-order:
- You can switch your order to our original Konnected Alarm Panel product. It has all the same integrations and capabilities as the Pro, except for Ethernet and PoE -- this product is WiFi only. These kits are in-stock and will ship immediately.
- You can get both! Buy the original WiFi only kit now for 50% off. Your pre-order will remain.
- You can cancel your pre-order and get a full refund (but we really hope you won't).
