I became convinced some years ago that a DIY security system was the way to go both from the economics and the simplicity of the proposition. Add a little Color to your Install
These jumper wires are nice, female ends fit tight (no worry of them backing out) and male ends make install much easier. I like the ribbon keeping the wires together, makes for a cleaner, colorful look. If you need one wire, the wires pull apart easy.
