Single Circuit Mechanical Heat Detector - System Sensor 5602
Single Circuit Mechanical Heat Detector - System Sensor 5602
This is a mechanical heat detector that's simple and cost effective for fire monitoring in non-life-safety scenarios such as property protection or outbuilding monitoring. It's a single circuit wired detector, requiring only two wires to any Konnected input zone — no power needed!
At 194°F (90°C) the mechanical heat detection unit triggers a circuit closure on those two wires. Once triggered above this threshold, the unit cannot be reset, it must be replaced.
It also triggers via a fixed rate-of-rise mechanism when the temperature rises faster than 15°F (8.3°C) per minute. Unlike the fixed temperature threshold, the rate-of-rise threshold is self-restoring, and will automatically return to the normally-open state and can be re-used.
WARNING! This is not a life-safety device.
For life-safety installations, smoke detectors must be used, in lieu of, or in addition to mechanical heat detectors.
