Comparing GDO blaQ, ratgdo, and myQ for Home Assistant?
GDO blaQ is the Konnected garage-door controller to consider when you have a compatible Chamberlain-family opener and want local-first control in Home Assistant or another supported smart home platform.
If you are researching ratgdo, use the ratgdo vs GDO blaQ guide to compare the two approaches. If your starting point is myQ no longer working with Home Assistant, use the myQ/Home Assistant guide for background and migration context.
Compatibility still comes first. GDO blaQ is for compatible Security+ and Security+ 2.0 openers, including many Chamberlain, LiftMaster, Craftsman, and Merlin models with red, purple, or round yellow learn buttons. Security+ 3.0 models with a round white learn button are not compatible with Konnected GDO products today.
If your opener uses a simple dry-contact wall-button input instead, compare the GDO White path in the Smart Garage Door Openers collection.
